Google’s Nearby Feature is much like Apple’s AirDrop Feature

Worried about sharing heavy files with your near ones? Do you want to avail feature like Apple’s AriDrop feature in Android Operating System? Your wait ends here. Google has officially announced that it is going to introduce its own file sharing feature called Nearby feature.

Much similar like Apple’s AirDrop feature, Google is soon going to have Nearby feature where you can transfer heavy files to any android phone having the Nearby feature. Initially the feature has been made available to some Pixel phones and some Samsung phones. But soon it is going to be made available in all the android devices having Android 6 or more.

Three options would be made available to the users from security perspective. All, Some and Hidden. If you are in all mode, you will be seen by all those android users who have their nearby features switched on. If you are in some mode, then only the allowed contacts by you will be able to see you in the nearby devices. If you are in the hidden mode, then no one will be able to see you. The best part is to use this feature, you do not need to have an internet connection. Without an internet connection also, this feature will work cool. Files, Pictures, Audio, Video are all can be shared using this feature.

Just like Apple’s AirDrop, one can share the files with iphones and macbooks. Google too is planning to bring the feature to make the connectivity between android phones and chromebooks. However in the initial stage this feature is not available. But soon this is going to be introduced.

So, what are you waiting for? Keep yourself updated with the android operating systems and stay tuned. Soon, your mobile is also going to avail the Nearby Feature.
