What happened in Bengaluru on 11th August 2020

Amid Corona Pandemic where the entire country is shaken, Bengaluru seems to be little relaxed with some sort of relaxations in the market. Meanwhile the project of Rama Temple in Ayodhya also started. With all these, a report came of Vandalism in Bengaluru where somewhere around 3 people lost their lives. What was the report? Let us throw some light on that.

11th August 2020, Naveen who is the nephew of MLA in Puleshi Nagar, Bengaluru Mr. Akhand Srinivas Murthy posted a controversial post in Facebook which fired up some of the Muslims. Why Muslims? Because the post was in connection with the Ram Mandir and Babri Masjid as per the report. Some Muslim people first vandalized the house of Mr. Murthy and fired up some vehicles there at his residence. The mob again reached the police station of DJ Halli and started vandalizing the police station where some where around more than 200 vehicles were burnt. Around 60 policemen were injured with some senior officials. Somewhere around 110 people were arrested in this regard. The incident took place somewhere around night 9 PM and continued till 2 AM midnight.

What were the role of governing Government in overcoming the situation?

Karnataka Home Minister Mr. Basavaraj Bommai ordered the police for open air firing to being the mob under control. If not coming to control, they can start firing. And fortunately, the police were able to bring the situation under control. Opposition Leader Mr. D Shivakumar also supported the ruling government to extend full support to control the situation and carry out the investigation. This is quite a good move when both the ruling and the opposition comes in the same court for good deed of the citizens. A second good move were some Muslim people surrounded a temple in the DJ Halli area to protect it. As this was communal riot, there were high chances for attack on temple. But good to see Muslims protected temple. I know some intellectuals would look in a different way stating that event might be a propaganda. But I believe in looing and pulling out a positive note from every incident. Being positive and looking positive even in a negative environment would land you up in the race of progress 😊.

Following up the Police also has arrested Muzzamil Pasha of Social Democratic Party of India. Further investigation to go on. But I hope the best decision win the game.

My View – People should stop themselves posting controversial posts on social media. Rather those platforms should be used in spreading love. And any such posts should be reported to the police or concerned department to act. What are getting by vandalizing public property? We should remember that any public property is an asset of every individual. Our hard-earned tax is being used in creating public property. Let us spread love and finish hatred. Let us start working for the development of the country. Let us work together!
