China’s Harbin – a small district Pingfang, 1983 something strange happened. Some people from outside came and built 150 ft compound, airstrips, and many more. Those were the Japanese who used to rule then in China. Japan had captured China’s Manchuria.
Japan situated in North-West part of Pacific Ocean. An island basically which consists of 6852 islands in total. Some 430 islands support mankind. Among those only 5 are important. Hokiado, Honshu, Shikoku, Kiushu, Okinawa. There is a city named Ishigaki in Okinawa which is the main cause of clash between Japan and China.
22nd June 2020, Ishigaki govt passed a law to make an island lively which is named Senkakush. Ishigaki set up an administrative law which fires up tension between China and Japan. China claims this island to be its. China called this Diyaoyu. This island is with Japan from 1972. But the ownership right is hanging between China and Japan from very long. This island is near Taiwan. To its North-Eastern part, East China sea is there which is a part of Pacific Ocean.
Benefits of this island
- This lies on the shipping route of Pacific Ocean.
- This is one of the most eligible fishing grounds in the world.
- The third one is the abundant resource of natural gas and crude oil.
Japan claims that in 19th century Japan did survey for very long time and in 1995, they mounted their flag. And subsequently Japan declared this as their part.
1945 Japan lost war in 3rd world war. And American army takes over the control of administrative part of Japan till 1952. It was under America’s control until 1972. In 1971 Okinawa reversion agreement was made in which America gave Okinawa to Japan. And Japan has been controlling from then.
Like all other claims, this claim of China also depends on a long long-ago time strategy. As per the claim Taiwan used to look after this island. 1895 in first Chino-Japan war, Taiwan went to Japan and returned to China in 1951. China claims that when Taiwan came, Senkakush also will be under Chinese.
